Budget Shelves Returns & Exchanges Policy

At Budget Shelves, we are a family-run business that prides itself on personalized customer service, unbeatable turnaround times, and a commitment to customer happiness that big-box competitors simply can’t match. While our returns & exchanges policy includes clear guidelines to ensure fairness, we understand that every situation is unique. That’s why we pledge to review each case individually, working with you to find a solution that ensures your satisfaction. Every order matters to us, and we’ll go above and beyond to assist our valued clients—every order, every time.

We’re proud to share that as of November 28, 2024, we’ve maintained a 0% customer return rate over the past 12 months. Through our rigorous pre-shipment inspection process and our new green and sustainable packaging initiative launched this year, we’ve reduced customer exchange requests to less than 0.5%. These achievements reflect our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service while protecting the planet.


General Return Policy

  • Returns Period:
    • Industrial shelving and steel roofing panels: 14 days.
    • Digital scales, market tents, and business supplies: 30 days.
  • Condition: Items must be in like-new condition with all components, accessories, and original packaging.
  • Non-Returnable Items: Custom-cut, modified, or assembled products cannot be returned unless defective or damaged.

Freight Shipping Policy

  • Items shipped via freight are generally considered final sale upon receipt.
  • Inspection Required: Please inspect all items carefully upon delivery from the freight carrier.
    • Any visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery and reported to us within 24 hours.
    • Photos and/or videos clearly showing the damage must be provided for any claims.

Exceptions

  • Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis, taking into consideration:
    • Size of the order: Larger orders may qualify for additional support.
    • Distance: Returns for long-distance shipments may not be possible due to freight costs.
    • Cost of shipping: High freight costs may limit return eligibility.
  • If you believe an exception should be considered, please contact us at sales@budgetshelves.com or call your local Budget Shelves location.
    • Requests for exceptions must be submitted within 3 days of delivery.
    • Approval is at the sole discretion of Budget Shelves Corporation and may involve additional fees.

Refunds

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 business days after receiving and inspecting the returned item.
  • A 10% restocking fee applies to industrial shelving and steel roofing panels unless the item is defective or damaged.
  • No restocking fee applies to digital scales, market tents, or business supplies returned in unopened, new condition.

Exchanges

  • Exchanges are available for any item within the returns period.
  • If the exchange is due to a defect or damage, it will be free of charge, including shipping.

Defective or Damaged Items

  • Notify us within 3 days of delivery for defective or damaged items.
  • Photos and/or videos clearly showing the damage or defect must be provided along with proof of purchase.
  • Upon review, we will arrange a free replacement or a full refund, including shipping costs.

Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived defective or damaged.
  • We recommend using a trackable shipping service for heavy items like shelving and roofing panels.

Important Notes

  • Abuse of our returns process, including repeated returns of used or damaged items, may result in refusal of future returns or exchanges.
  • Returns and exchanges apply only to purchases made directly from Budget Shelves Corporation.
