The man who was the voice behind the irreverent animated superhero on Adult Swim’s “Space Ghost Coast to Coast,” has died. George Lowe died Sunday in Lakeland, Florida, at age 67. His family said in a statement that Lowe had been struggling to recover from elective heart surgery in November. Lowe’s booming voice and off-the-wall humor turned “Space Ghost Coast to Coast” into a cult classic among young adults. The show debuted in 1994 and aired for more than a decade on Cartoon Network as part of its Adult Swim nighttime programming block. It was Cartoon Network’s first original production.

Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has announced he is running for mayor of New York City. The Democrat’s entry into the race Saturday relaunches his political career following a yearslong exile over a barrage of sexual harassment accusations. Cuomo is expected to mount a formidable campaign, despite entering the race deeply wounded by the scandal that forced his resignation from the governor’s office in 2021. He takes on a large field of primary opponents including the incumbent, Mayor Eric Adams, who for now remains under indictment on federal corruption charges.

Warren Buffett is celebrating the successes of Berkshire Hathaway’s companies last year and in the 60 years since he took over a struggling New England textile company and began converting it into a massive conglomerate. Buffett opened his annual letter to shareholders Saturday by acknowledging that he has occasionally made mistakes over the years without offering many specific examples. But he assured shareholders that the man he has chosen to one day succeed him as CEO, Greg Abel, isn’t one of them. Buffett also offered some subtle advice for President Donald Trump by urging Uncle Sam to be responsible with the $26.8 billion in income taxes Berkshire paid last year and take care of the many who get a short straw in life.

The FBI in Las Vegas says a woman lured at least four older men on online dating apps to meet in person, drugged them with sedatives and stole hundreds of thousands of dollars in a “sinister” romance scheme. Authorities say three of the men died, and she has been charged in one of their deaths. Aurora Phelps is in custody in Mexico. She faces 21 counts including wire fraud, identity theft and one count of kidnapping resulting in death. The FBI says it is aware of other alleged victims in the U.S. and Mexico. Authorities are seeking her extradition.
