Chieko Honda (Japanese: 本多知恵子 Honda Chieko) was a Japanese voice actress for Pokémon the Series.
Biography
Honda was born on March 28, 1963, in Tokyo, Japan. She became a voice actress as an adult and led a long voice acting career since the mid-1980s. She provided the voice of Eterna City Gym Leader Gardenia during Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl of the animated series. At various points in her career, Honda was affiliated with the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society, Mix Max, and Aoni Production. On February 18, 2013, she passed away while undergoing treatment for multiple forms of colon cancer.
