Daizō

(Japanese: ダイゾー Daizō) is a character of the day who appeared in Takin' It on the Chinchou. He lives with his son in Blue Lagoon on Blue Point Isle.

He, along with his son, Dayton, were in charge of an annual Parade of the Chinchou held in Blue Lagoon. During the parade, Daizō, Dayton, Ash and his friends were at a pier at Blue Lagoon where Daizō blew a Chinchou whistle which caused the Chinchou at the lake at Blue Lagoon to glow.

It is a tradition that the Chinchou from Blue Lagoon migrate to the other side of Blue Point Isle to start a new life in the sea. Dayton, Daizō and Ash and his friends accompanied the Chinchou in doing so. When they arrived at a bridge hanging over a cliff, Team Rocket arrived on the other side to steal the Chinchou. Daizō and everyone else (save for Ash) ran for their safety, but the bridge was destroyed by Team Rocket's gizmo as it missed its goal in capturing the Chinchou. Daizō, Misty, Brock and the multiple Chinchou got separated from Ash and Dayton.

They eventually found each other on a beach at the other side of Blue Point Isle, until Team Rocket arrived once more, trapping the Chinchou in a pit. They managed to free themselves from Team Rocket's cage with Pikachu finishing Team Rocket off. After seeing the Chinchou leave for the sea, Dayton and Daizō said their farewells to Ash and his friends.

The Chinchou were part of a festival in Blue Lagoon. As part of a tradition, they had to make a journey to the other side of Blue Point Isle to start a new life in the sea. While they were on their way, Team Rocket arrived to capture them but failed when they instead caught the bridge Ash and the others were crossing on. Later, when the Chinchou got to a beach at the other side of Blue Point Isle, they were successfully caught by Team Rocket. They broke themselves free from the cage and defeated Team Rocket. With Team Rocket defeated, the Chinchou safely left for the sea.

Chinchou's known moves are Spark and Thunder Wave.
