Nurse Joy's Audino (Japanese: ジョーイのタブンネ Joy's Tabunne) are Pokémon owned by almost all Nurse Joys in the Unova region, as well as some in the Decolore Islands and the Kalos region.
In animation
History
Unlike the Nurse Joys of other regions, the Joys of Unova use Audino. The first Nurse Joy seen with an Audino appeared in Dreams by the Yard Full!. They serve the same function as Chansey, helping Nurse Joy take care of Pokémon, including carrying them around on stretchers and helping to heal them. They wear hats that have the same color as the Nurse Joy they work for.
In A Venipede Stampede!, the Nurse Joy of Castelia City used her Audino to help calm down the Venipede that were attacking the city with Heal Pulse.
Two of Nurse Joy's Audino were among the seven Audino controlled by Team Rocket in Where Did You Go, Audino?. In the end, the two Audino joined the others in releasing a burst of elemental attacks at the villains.
In A Giga Battle with Mega Results!, a Kalos Nurse Joy who used an Audino instead of a Wigglytuff was introduced. She had been assigned an experienced Audino instead of a Wigglytuff because of her tendency to forget her surroundings when focused on tasks. Despite the two constantly arguing with one another, they were still close enough to allow Audino to Mega Evolve with the Audinite that Joy had recently discovered. Using its new power, Audino helped to defeat Team Rocket, who were trying to steal all the Poké Balls from the Pokémon Center.
An Audino appeared in a fantasy in For Sure! 'Cause Sprigatito's with Me!.
Personality and characteristics
Like almost all Pokémon helping Nurse Joys, Audino have caring and helpful personalities, being ready to assist their human partners in helping injured and sick Pokémon.
In A Giga Battle with Mega Results!, an Audino was shown barricading the door to the treating room due to reasons caused by Nurse Joy, much to Joy's frustration.
