Innocent Scientist (Japanese: VSゲノセクトIII VS Genesect III), titled VS Genesect III in the Shogakukan Asia translation, is the 528th chapter of the Pokémon Adventures manga, and the fourth chapter of the Black 2 & White 2 arc.

It is subtitled Genesect III (Japanese: イノセント・サイエンティスト Innocent Scientist) in the VIZ Media translation and Innocent Scientist in the Shogakukan Asia translation.

Major events

  • Blake begins his attempt to capture Genesect.
  • Blake flashes back to when he first met Dewott at the International Police headquarters.
  • After a struggle, Blake successfully captures Genesect.
  • Colress commends Blake's efforts and reveals that Ghetsis has given up his leadership of Team Plasma to him.
  • Colress escapes before Looker can arrest him.
  • Blake reveals his womanizing personality is a front so that he can find a former member of Team Plasma that is carrying a microchip containing important data on the Pokémon stolen by Team Plasma.
  • Blake heads back with Looker and prepares to have Genesect sent back to headquarters.
