The Ultra Rangers (Japanese: ウルトラレンジャー Ultra Rangers) are a group of characters of the day who appeared in a flashback in Battling the Beast Within!. They were residents of the Ultra Ruin, an alternate dimension that was devastated by the appearance of the Ultra Beast Guzzlord.
When Ash and Pikachu found themselves transported to the Ultra Ruin, they encountered Dia, a former Ultra Ranger. He informed them that his world had come under attack by Guzzlord in the past. The Ultra Rangers had attempted to defeat Guzzlord with their Pokémon, only for them all to be defeated by it.
