Pokémon the Series: Black & White

In Pokémon the Series, the Village of Dragons is a village in the Unova region located near Opelucid City. It is the hometown of Iris and Shannon.

The Village of Dragons is a place where people raise and admire Dragon-type Pokémon. An elder who lives there will also give out a Dragon-type Pokémon for Trainers to raise. It was first mentioned by Iris in The Bloom Is on Axew! when she explained how she obtained her Axew.

Statues of the Legendary Reshiram and Zekrom were built in the center of the village to commemorate them.

Dragon Pokémon roam around the village freely, such as Axew and its evolved form, Fraxure. Not all the Pokémon here are Dragon type though: other Pokémon such as Drilbur living in the surrounding forests.

Every year, there is a Pokémon battle tournament that Iris and her Excadrill were seen competing at. Iris competed in it one time and did very well. She felt confident enough to challenge Opelucid City Gym Leader Drayden to a battle, but Drayden and his Haxorus easily overpowered her and won.

According to Iris, most people from the village dream to become a Dragon Master.

Following on Iris's suggestion, the group visited the village in A Village Homecoming!. Iris caught up with the village elder, who gave a positive evaluation of her and Axew's progress. Iris's childhood friend Shannon was revealed to be training to become a Pokémon Breeder, and she was currently raising two Zweilous. However, one of the Zweilous evolved into a Hydreigon and began to panic. Iris and her Pokémon worked together to calm the Dragon-type down, and her efforts caught the attention of Drayden, who invited Iris to challenge the Opelucid Gym.
