Courses
The Full-time MBA Programme at North Carolina State University’s Jenkins Graduate School of Management has the philosphy of “learning by doing” and immerses students in real-world projects for companies to help gain relevant perspectives on current management techniques.
The programme is committed to providing management education that is up-to-date with today's technology-driven global business environment and is two years long. The curriculum emphasises the management of technology within an organisation. An integrated core curriculum with a focus on technology, business processes, and practical applications is mandatory and is presented in a collaborative learning environment. Students also choose a specialised concentration that focuses on their chosen career path. The programme is delivered through simulations, case studies, and projects in the areas of:
- Communication Skills
- Networking
- Negotiations
- Team Skills
- Business Ethics
- Social Responsibility
The technology focus of the programme is delivered through three sources. First, students take a required course in relation to technology that also integrates the topics of strategy, operations, and managing people in a high-tech environment. Second, in any concentration students choose, they are required to take technology-related courses such as industrial engineering or computer science. Third, most students admitted to the programme have a strong technology background and are seeking careers in high-tech companies. Below is a diagram of the course curriculum, provided by Jenkins Graduate School.
