Tuesday Iowa men's wrestling head coach Tom Brands addressed the media and gave an update on the ongoing competition for the right to wrestle at 285 pounds between Bradley Hill and Ben Kueter.
Hill has gotten a majority of the opportunities on the mat while Kueter was playing on the Iowa football team and has done a solid job in the team's dual lineup, including a pin in his most recent outing against Illinois on Friday.
Kueter on the other hand has demonstrated immense talent on the mat prior to his Hawkeye debut against Minnesota two weeks ago, and is currently 2-0 since joining the team in January including a pin against Northwestern on Sunday.
"They're both gonna wrestle, they're both gonna be out on that mat, and they're both gonna have to continue to develop to get better," Tom Brands said.
Iowa has a gauntlet of a two-dual stretch, facing no. 12 Michigan on the road and then hosting no. 1 Penn State in the next 10 days.
