Details have been revealed for the residential development of the large vacant site at 2235 W Oakdale Avenue just south of Roscoe Village. Bound by the Chicago River on the south end of the site, the proposed townhomes are being developed by ZSD Corp with local firm SGW Architecture & Design working on the masterplan.
Lakeview Landing is now topped out at 835 West Addison Street in the Lake View Community Area, as work on the exterior continues. Window installation appears to have crossed the halfway mark, and balconies on the east elevation are evident. That’s the work of general contractor Powers & Sons Construction.
The new construction permit was issued on January 31 for the tower crane that will build 370 North Morgan in the Fulton Market District. While that doesn’t necessarily mean construction will be get started in the immediate future, it’s a good sign that activity could begin soon. Skender will be the general contractor; as the concrete contractor, McHugh Concrete will oversee tower crane operation.
Permits have been issued for the redevelopment of the mixed-use structure at 1934 W North Avenue in Wicker Park. Sitting on the corner with N Winchester Avenue near the heart of the neighborhood, we originally covered the project last year as it was approved by the Plan Commission.
Construction progress has reached the first floor on a three-story with basement, four-unit residential building at 1838 West Addison Street in North Center. Panoptic Group, the general contractor here, is erecting the building after being called to duty by a replacement permit issued in December. The original new construction permit was issued November 2.
