English: The Denes is a centrally located area of Darlington, County Durham, England which consists mainly of semi-detached and terraced housing surrounding valley areas of wooded public park and recreation land. The area of The Denes is located just East of Cockerton, directly West of High Northgate (North Road) and Hopetown, Darlington and is generally known to be the area between Brinkburn Road on the north and Woodland Road on the south up to where it joins with Staindrop Road and Cockerton. At the easterly end the southerly border is often judged around Corporation Road, by local estate agent descriptions. The area lies close to Faverdale, Branksome and Mowden.
