English: Torridon was an iron-hulled three-masted fully-rigged ship built in 1885 by Alexander Hall & Co, Aberdeen for Alexander Nicol & Co., Aberdeen. Dimensions: length × beam × depth: 246 × 38.1 × 22 ft (74.9 × 11.6 × 6.7 m). Tonnages: 1,564 GRT, 1,502 NRT and 1,391 tons under deck. Torridon was a near sister ship to the same owner's ship Yallaroi, built in 1885. In 1906 Torridon was sold to Italian owners. Sunk 1916 by a German U-boat.[1][2][3]
