English: WOZA is a civic movement in Zimbabwe which was formed in 2003 to i. a. provide women, from all walks of life, with a united voice to speak out on issues affecting their day-to-day lives and encourage women to stand up for their rights and freedoms.
Deutsch: WOZA ist eine 2003 gegründete Menschenrechtsorganisation von Frauen in Simbabwe und mit etwa 35.000 Mitgliedern die größte zivilgesellschaftliche Bewegung des Landes. Sie wendet sich mit friedlichen Mitteln wie Gesängen, Tänzen und Gebeten gegen repressive Gesetze wie den Public Order and Security Act, die Verschlechterung der sozialen und wirtschaftlichen Situation sowie Menschenrechtsverletzungen in Simbabwe.
