- "File:Korea Internet Safety Commission.svg" seems to only be simple letters, several here are images of older North Korean organisations which didn't even have copyright until relatively recently. Some seem derived from existing public domain images like the Korean Unification symbol (the blue map of the Korean peninsula). I'm not sure if it's wise to have such a massive deletion request for images that should be evaluated separately. I also don't think that any of the images here are "trivial" even if they're unused as they all seem to be of sizeable organisations, so I don't see any scope issues based on their educational value. That is, I'm not saying that there should be "a blanket keep", but as the subjects at hand are so diverse having this DR isn't easily discussable as all these images are nominated with quite a minimalistic reasoning for various unrelated images from multiple countries. Like, is "File:Flag of Andong County.svg" really too complex? --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 16:15, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
- Keep at least File:Mansudae TV Logo NK.svg, File:Bureau of Pubilc Information (South Korea).svg, and File:Sampoong logo.svg. Those are under COM:TOO anyday in any jurisdiction. Neutral on all others. While "own work" is doubtful for many, it can indicate that some of these are derivative works (as is the case with all user-created .svgs). Many are under COM:TOO. Many are used and thus not COM:OOS. The nomination should go through these one by one to determine whether there is an actual infringement instead of just sloppy tagging as "own work". – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 20:59, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Finnusertop and @Donald Trung: As far as I can tell, there is no TOO in North Korea (no COM:TOO North Korea or COM:North Korea#Threshold of originality); everything is copyrighted. — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 21:40, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Jeff G. The law only protects works, so not everything is protected, that's what the law says. A doctrine of TOO is not defined in the law, and we do not have access to court cases, so what constitutes a work is a guess. But the threshold is not zero. I've nominated very simple text-only North Korean images for deletion in the past myself only to be told by an admin that they are too simple to be copyrighted anywhere. I'd say File:Mansudae TV Logo NK.svg is very simple like that. – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 14:48, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

- Keep for File:Zyle Daewoo Bus logo (2021) English.png, File:Saehan Motors logo.svg, File:Shinjin Motors logo.svg, File:Sampoong logo.svg, File:Saenara Motors logo.svg – as simple text logos, with no special characters. Fma12 (talk) 21:24, 1 September 2022 (UTC)
- Some of these files are South Korean, not North Korean, so this request should be divided up. In addition, the fact the the term “originality” is not used does not mean that the concept of limits on copyright does not exist. Most (if not all) of the flags listed above are South Korean. I think that this deletion discussion should be closed, and the individual files nominated separately (or in more reasonable groups), which would allow for a more reasonable discussion of the copyright issues at hand. Deleted: Deleted all files which are obviously above TOO. Per COM:TOO South Korea, South Korea has a low TOO, so logos with complex shapes should be deleted. North Korea has no TOO per COM:North Korea, so everything can be above threshold and is possibly copyrighted. Based on the remarks of other users, only some simple text logos can be kept. All others are deleted per COM:PRP. All files are missing evidence of free licensing per COM:EVID. --Ellywa (talk) 21:33, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
