I initially tagged some of these as copyvio before I noticed that the photographer name matched the user name (though some of the EXIF credit Liam Asman rather than Ryan Asman). But since they have been published at Alamy, they do require COM:VRT

Here are the Alamy links for the images I've been able to identify:

Hi @Adeletron 3030,
I can confirm that all these photographs are taken by me and that I am happy for them to be used on Wikipedia, let me know if there's anything which you need from me to clear them.
The EXIF data may be showing as Liam as I occasionally share equipment with him and the credit metadata has just been overlooked here. Ryanasman1 (talk) 15:22, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ryanasman1 Thank you for responding. You can use the form generator at COM:VRT/CONSENT and you'd have to email with some evidence to show that you are the photographer. Adeletron 3030 (talk) 15:47, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm pretty sure you've got the agency-photo-copyvio and VRT the wrong way around - there's two typical situations: 1. a company or individual publishes images they own but did not take with a commons license, and the images are copyrighted e.g. "Getty for COMPANY"; 2. an agency publishes images with a commons license but have credited a non-house photographer with no indication as to whether that photographer has granted the license. In situations where the credited photographer themselves publishes images they have taken, no matter on whose behalf, with a commons license, it's shockingly not copyvio. The only thing that might be needed to be sent in is a certain level of proof that the uploader (@Ryanasman1: welcome) has the matching credentials, to effectively verify authorship. Of course, that is NOT a reason to go speedy delete tagging. It looks like you went about wanting to mass delete without, once again, doing any or enough BEFORE. And this goes especially when dealing with images by a photographer who may be inexperienced with Wikipedia; ask them about the status of the images, and explain the VRTS process if necessary, don't just slap them with speedy delete template, it's hostile behaviour. @Kingsif That makes sense and sorry for jumping to the deletion route, @Ryanasman1. Adeletron 3030 (talk) 15:58, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again, I have just skimmed your talkpage - not my preferred activity, but I can see you have more than a few requests from new users asking for undeletion, asking what VRTS is, asking what speedy delete means or what they need to do to prove images are their own work. In at least two, you justify adding speedy delete tags because the image "looked suspicious" to you. I would suggest that your judgment is not reason enough to do this, especially when some of these users are uploading rare images that can be valuable to the Wikimedia project - and when they're new, they're not going to fill in metadata perfectly, are they? May I suggest withholding from speedy delete in all but the most obvious cases, and taking a softer touch. Some users may be deliberately or accidentally misrepresenting images and licenses, but more often than not, it's just rookie errors. Kingsif (talk) 16:06, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Kingsif,
Thank you for the welcome. I have reached out to the commons-copyvio email address to see if I can resolve this. Ryanasman1 (talk) 16:19, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
👍🏼 and welcome again! Kingsif (talk) 16:47, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
