Hello, cannot this template be used for Category:Heteroptera (suborder)? I created categories, but they did not get filled.--Slimguy (talk) 17:18, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Slimguy: Hello my friend.
- Category:Genera of Heteroptera is filled depending on the content of Template:Hemiptera (because it is used as include=Hemiptera in {{Taxonavigation}})
- I modified Template:Hemiptera to manage SUBORDO like Heteroptera
- It now works.

Diplopoda and Chilopoda: Families, Genera and Species do not work with this template
[edit]Hello, this template is used for Diplopoda and Chilopoda: Families, Genera and Species do not work with this template. Unfortunately, these automatic categories are not filled.--Slimguy (talk) 19:10, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hello @Slimguy:
- Yes, TaxonavigationAutoCategory does not fill the categories, it just does a nice display.
- The categorisation work is done by Template:Diplopoda and Template:Chilopoda.
- Can you list me the categories that you want to be filled ?
- Best regards Liné1 (talk) 19:35, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
- I corrected Template:Diplopoda. Look at the categories of Category:Adritylidae, Category:Adrityla, Category:Adrityla deseretae
- I corrected Template:Chilopoda. Look at the categories of Category:Geophilidae, Category:Geophilus, Category:Stenotaenia linearis
- Of course only the categories and galleries with a {{Taxonavigation}} will be categorized.

Hello, could you please make it possible that genera and species of subfamilies of heteroptera (e.g. Category:Pentatominae, Category:Asopinae, Category:Podopinae) can be used with this template?--Slimguy (talk) 17:59, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hello @Slimguy:
- I did the modifications you asked
- Some remarks:
- Category:Pentatominae: You could move the genera list in Category:genera of Pentatominae, like I did. But only if Tribes are listed by {{Taxa}}. Normally we list only the taxon rank just above. For example we list genera in subfamilies, or we list tribes but not genera (in which case we move the genera list in Category:genera of Pentatominae).
- Category:Asopinae: Category:Genera of Asopinae is not a good idea as all the genera al ready under Category:Asopinae. Category:Species of Asopinae is a good idea.
- personally, I dont think introducing tribes everywhere like MILEPRI does is a good idea. Arthropods categories are not in a good shap.
