You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. - Hi, @A.Savin: . Do you mind if I ask why you indef blocked Лобачев Владимир? I know you mentioned Kazimier Lachnovič's ANU complaint, but from what I can tell it has nothing to do with Лобачев Владимир outside of Pofka randomly name dropping him and saying he was trolling, but I don't see anything in his edit history since the last block to indicate that's what he's been doing. I'm sure you'd agree that indefing someone just because they were name dropped in a random ANU complaint is rather heavy handed. Especially since him and Pofka have a long history of going at each other and Pofka clearly has a lot to gain from him being indef blocked. Thanks. --Adamant1 (talk) 06:42, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
Comment User Лобачев Владимир was blocked for aggressive and malicious trolling in Lithuanian and Ukrainian topics. Such activity is absolutely incompatible with the Commons:Policies and guidelines, Commons:Assume good faith and means that he is WP:NOTHERE. He was clearly given enough chances to reconsider his actions following Yann's warning to him on 27 August 2022 (see: HERE) and after Yann's block for 3 months on 5 September 2022 (see: HERE). However, instead of evaluating his malicious activity and reconsidering how he could improve his behavior, he instead moved on to other Wiki projects and:
1) On 10 September 2022 user Лобачев Владимир was blocked for 1 year due to Wikipedia:Vandalism in the Polish Wikipedia (see: HERE). The Polish users also identified him as troll when he claimed that the modern Coat of arms of Lithuania is "fake" in the context of older coats of arms of Lithuania used by the Grand Duchy of Lithuania (see: HERE). Polish user Hoa binh said that "Natomiast i tu, i tu jest Pogoń. Współczesna Litwa od 1918 r. używa historycznego herbu Wielkiego Księstwa Litewskiego, czyli Pogoni. O czym ruski trollu dobrze wiesz, Pogoń nie wywodzi się spod Krasnojarska." (English: However, both here and here is Pogoń. Since 1918, modern Lithuania has been using the historical coat of arms of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, i.e. Pogoń. What the Russian troll you know well, the pursuit does not come from Krasnojarska) (see this Hoa binh's statement HERE). Moreover, user Лобачев Владимир was also trolling that the Coat of arms of the Kievan Rus' is different from the Coat of arms of Ukraine and urged to remove the Coat of arms of Ukraine in the context of the Kievan' Rus, however Polish user Hoa binh stopped him once again by identifying him as "Gdzie tam kremlowski propagandysto widzisz jakieś kwiaty? (...) Zresztą twoja rzekomo "historyczna" wersja monety jest jednym wielkim kłamstwem, co każdy sobie może sprawdzić chociażby na zdjęciach tych monet. Widać wyraźnie, że przesuwałeś litery/przerysowałeś je źle/nie rozumiałeś ich/dorysowałeś sobie coś własnego. Fałszujesz kłamco historyczne symbole podług swojej własnej ideologii i jeszcze śmiesz twierdzić, że ta twoja radosna twórczość jest "historyczna." (English: Where do you see any flowers, Kremlin propagandist? (...) Anyway, your supposedly "historical" version of the coin is a big lie, which can be checked by looking at the pictures of these coins. It's clear you moved the letters around/redrawn them wrong/didn't understand them/drawn something of your own. You falsify historical symbols according to your own ideology, and yet you dare to say that this joyful creation of yours is "historical") (see this discussion HERE). Knowing the context of the Russo-Ukrainian War it is not surprising that this troll was attacking the Ukrainian identity and is waging an information war by aggressively spreading the Russian propaganda (likely even for payment as it was constant). User Лобачев Владимир was performing exactly the same malicious activity for a long-term by attacking other countries national symbols and identities in Wikimedia Commons.
2) On 6 December 2022 user Лобачев Владимир was blocked for an indefinite period because of destructive behavior (Russian: деструктивное поведение) in the Russian Wikipedia (see: HERE). Since user Лобачев Владимир is from Russia, I think it perfectly summarizes his actions and the quality of content he contributes to Wiki projects.
So as you can see following Yann's applied block on 5 September 2022 in Wikimedia Commons user Лобачев Владимир was blocked in the Polish Wikipedia for vandalism only after 5 days and attempted to discredit Lithuanian and Ukrainian symbols. Following it, soon he was also blocked in the Russian Wikipedia for destructive behavior. Consequently, it is absolutely clear that user Лобачев Владимир does not learn from his mistakes and will continue disruptive behavior as long as he is allowed to do that, thus I believe the indefinite block in Wikimedia Commons to prevent his trolling is a justified decision by two administrators and it should not be revoked now or in the future. User Лобачев Владимир was already given enough chances to change his behavior, but instead he was getting even more aggressive and disruptive in multiple Wiki projects. This is a clear example of WP:NOTHERE. -- Pofka (talk) 12:06, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Pofka: The last time I checked I didn't ask you and A.Savin is a big boy who can answer questions people ask him. You brigading the conversation and talking for an administrator really isn't helpful. A.Savin can and should justify his own actions. Although since you brought it up, I'm extremely interested in knowing where exactly the guidelines or policies say someone can be blocked for their behavior on other projects. The last I time checked blocks don't work that way. Not to mention I don't see you advocating for Guido den Broeder to be blocked from Commons even though he's blocked from essentially every other project. If anything, you've done nothing but support his tenure here. Given that, your invocation of Лобачев Владимир's behavior on Polish Wikipedia is rather sanctimonious and disingenuous at best. Regardless of you being hypocritical though, most people on Commons have dirty hands in other projects. So that's obviously not a legitimate reason to block people, or Commons wouldn't have any contributors. That's not to say A.Savin didn't have a legitimate reason to block Лобачев Владимир, but it should be pretty easy for him to just say what it was without you having to act like his mouth piece. "Behavior on other projects" clearly doesn't cut it in the meantime either. So why not let him provide a reason for the block instead of acting like his spokesperson? Dude says he's open for discussion on his talk page. So there's no reason he can't follow his own standards and discuss it. -Adamant1 (talk) 20:46, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
- User Лобачев Владимир was trolling for a long-term and disrespecting other countries, their identities and national symbols in Wikimedia Commons. The fact that he was blocked in other Wiki projects only confirms his malicious mission here. Trolling is absolutely incompatible with the Commons:Assume good faith and he was warned to stop. At least twice. But clearly Лобачев Владимир is WP:NOTHERE, so he himself justified this indef block with his activity. -- Pofka (talk) 20:10, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
