Template:DE Wikisource Book
[edit]Please, do not break work with Category:books by author. For correct work of the template {{DE Wikisource Book}} use "Author link" and "Wikisource link". I have corrected Category:Kafka - Der Prozeß (1925). It works in en, it and ru templates. --Bkmd (talk) 19:30, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
- You can add this automatic category, but please update all not working inclusions of the template (they produce errors like Category:Langenstein_Martina and so on). If you would like to use your new parameter and/or auto cat, then please update all existing error producing cats by yourself (nobody wants to do this job for you). --enomil 20:00, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
- Revert of my editing has not eliminated all errors even in Category:Kafka - Der Prozeß (1925). You have not noticed a problem with {{DEFAULTSORT: {{{Title}}}}}. Certainly, I know about errors and I will try to check up all inclusions of this template. It is a pity that you do not want to help me. --Bkmd (talk) 22:20, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
- You know, like me, that this is a poor work. I think the first thing to do is to write an documentation for the template. With this there are less errors in the future. Then I can help you sometimes, but I have a lot of work on my to-do-list on de.ws. --enomil 22:50, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Be so kind as to stop removing books from Category:19th century books; I can see no reason why you are depopulating a perfectly legitimate category. Hesperian 07:17, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- Many of your edits are fine, but it is not appropriate to be removing this category if you're not also putting it in a sharper category.[1][2] Hesperian 07:24, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
Well. I corrected the file description already. That's why file description and filenmae differs. Sorry for causing trouble with this preemptive strike...However the file should be renamed 'cause the state of Saarland became full member state of Germany beginning January 1957. Hence the filename should be changed into Germany, Federal Republic of location map September 1955 - December 1956.svg. The next "era" is then displayed in File:Germany, Federal Republic of location map January 1957 - October 1990.svg. See that? This "era" beginns in January 1957. Overlapping of two periods ain't feasible. So please rename it and revert your changes in the file description. Thx. --TUBS 07:41, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- I looked at the german Project of Kartenwerkstatt where is the same mistake. Sorry, rename approved and revert all 1957 to 1956. --enomil 11:50, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Note that Der Prozess, Das Schloss, and Amerika were all renewed and are still under US copyright, too.--Prosfilaes (talk) 14:49, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Vorlage DE Wikisource
--Hagar66 (talk) 15:11, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Kein Problem, bessere Karten für den Endverbraucher. :) --enomil 15:46, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Vielen Dank! Karten sind umgestellt, imagemap folgt in Kürze. --Hagar66 (talk) 20:31, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Category:Books_by_W._S._G._E. has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you! |

Important message for file movers
[edit]A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect
user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.
Possible acceptable uses of this ability:
- To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
- To perform file name swaps.
- When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)
Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.
The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect
user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Questions regarding this right should be directed to administrators. --Majora (talk) 21:35, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading File:Das erste Jahrzehnt der Weltsprache Volapük.djvu, Don't forget to add a completed {{Book}} template on the file description page for your upload! It helps in providing additional catalog data on Commons, as well as on other projects. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 11:17, 20 August 2023 (UTC)
