Bot removing license templates?
[edit][Your bot seems to be removing license templates as in [1]. --Jarekt (talk) 12:11, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
- Jarekt, this has to do with the fact the the 'Original upload log' also contains the 'Nationaal Archief-license' keyword, and the bot thinks this means the license is on the page two times. As far as i can see, this is the only image where this problem occurred. If you have any other images with this problem let me know so i can fix them. Thanks. Not an Anefo image
[edit]Huskybot inserted a template which includes a category for Anefo images. However not all images from Nationaal Archief are Anefo images. This is one of those. Jan Arkesteijn (talk) 20:27, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
uploads as .tif
[edit]Hello Husky(bot),
I saw that you have uploaded files like MCC-23004 Doodskistje met geraamte op baar (3).tif in .tif format. I think it would be much better to convert them all to .jpg or another compressed format, because that generates files that are about 50 (!) times smaller. That saves a lot of storage space (especially if there are many files that are uploaded by a bot) but it also saves loading time and data transport.
I hope you can find a wat to automatically convert this kind of large files before they are uploaded. Thanks, Erik Wannee (talk) 07:31, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Erik. I agree that JPG is a smaller format, but converting it will lead to quality loss. The TIFF's are a high, non-lossy (like JPG) format. Note that Commons automatically converts TIFF's to JPEG, you can download those instead if you're concerned about loading times. Husky (talk to me) 08:12, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- Oké, dankjewel! Erik Wannee (talk) 14:15, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
