Ingredients

  1. 5 drumsticks
  2. 2 tbsp oil
  3. 1/2 tsp mustard
  4. 1 tsp cumin
  5. 1 pinch asafoetida
  6. Taste to salt
  7. 2 tbsp gram flour
  8. 1 tsp garlic paste
  9. 1 tsp chilli powder
  10. 1/2 tsp turmeric
  11. 1 tsp coriander powder
  12. 1/2 glass buttermilk
  13. 1 glass water
  14. 1 tbsp jaggery
  15. leaves For garnish - fresh coriander

Cooking Instructions

    Peel and wash the drumsticks. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, cumin, asafoetida, add drumstick, add salt, mix well, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.

    When 50 percent cooked, add gram flour and fry for two minutes. Now add garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder and mix well and roast the spices.

    Then add buttermilk and water and stir and cover the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes.

    When it is cooked properly and thickens a little, add jaggery and switch off the flame. Then add fresh coriander leaves.

    Ready for serve drumsticks sabji. Serve with rice.
