The University of Arizona Adaptive Athletics program is the largest and most successful collegiate-based program in the country, housing six globally competitive teams as well as an adaptive fitness center. We believe the power of sport provides a crucial inroad to higher education and community that keeps students connected and engaged through graduation. Disabled individuals are approximately 19% of the U.S. population but only 61% graduate with a college degree and only 18% engage in sports or physical activity.
We need your support! Our goal is to raise $5,000 to provide athletic and educational opportunities for the 2018-2019 athletics season. Thanks to supporters like you, disabled individuals are able to participate in competitive sport because of our accessible facility and services! We have a reputation as a top program for wheelchair athletes and have sent 34 athletes to compete at the Paralympic Games.
Disability is an aspect of diversity, integral to our society and the UA community. Adaptive Athletics has helped hundreds of athletes since 1975. Without support from grants, community sponsorships and generous individuals like you, the opportunity to compete on a global scale would not be possible for UA wheelchair athletes. Please help our athletes achieve success on the field and beyond by making a gift today and sharing our campaign with your friends and family!
