- Laurence Murray Greig (born 24 February 1929) is a New Zealand lawyer and jurist. He served as Chief Justice of the Cook Islands, a judge of the High Court of New Zealand, and as Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security. Greig was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and was educated at George Watson's College. He moved to Dunedin, New Zealand with his family as a teenager in 1946. He studied law at the University of Otago, then worked for Crown solicitors for five years before joining Bell Gully as a commercial lawyer. He was appointed as a judge of the High Court of New Zealand in 1979. He retired from the bench in May 1996. (en)
