- Perla Batalla je americká zpěvačka. Narodila se do hudební rodiny v Los Angeles a v devadesátých letech spolupracovala s kanadským hudebníkem Leonardem Cohenem (doprovázela jej při koncertech a zpívala doprovodné vokály na albu The Future). V roce 1993 se začala věnovat sólové kariéře; hned v tom roce vydala své debutové album nazvané Perla Batalla. Během své kariéry spolupracovala i s dalšími hudebníky, mezi které patří například k.d. lang, Jennifer Warnes či skupina . (cs)

Her debut album, Perla Batalla, was released on Discovery Records in 1994. She formed her own record label, Mechuda Music, and released the album Mestiza (meaning of mixed blood) in 1998, making sales through her website. Discoteca Batalla (2002), was recorded as an homage to her parents' record shop of the same name. In 2005, Batalla recorded a tribute album to Cohen, titled Bird on the Wire, and featured in Hal Wilner's Cohen tribute concert film, Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man. (en)
