- Komba (título original en inglés, The Bushbaby, lit. «El galago») es una película de ficción histórica de 1969 basada en el libro The Bushbabies (1965) del autor y jornalista anglo-canadiense William H. Stevenson. Fue producida por su director, John Trent, y por Robert Maxwell para Velvet Film Productions, y distribuida por Metro Goldwyn Mayer. En los créditos literarios se encuentran el autor Willian H. Stevenson y el guionista Robert Maxwell. En los papeles principales destacan Margaret Brooks y Lou Gossett, ganador de un premio Óscar en 1983 por Mejor actor de reparto, contando también con Donald Houston, Laurence Naismith y Marne Maitland entre otros. El título en español se refiere a la mascota de la protagonista, que como explica el personaje de Tembo, en suajili significa «galago». La película fue la primera adaptación del libro de Stevenson. Décadas más tarde, en 1992, la historia fue adaptada para la televisión en una serie de anime perteneciente al World Masterpiece Theater por Nippon Animation. The film tells an episode in the life of Jackie Leeds, daughter of John Leeds. When the African country in which they reside, Kenya, declares its independence, John Leeds assumes that he has lost his job and must leave for London with his daughter. This proves difficult for Jackie, who is convinced that she belongs in Kenya, especially after their friend Tembo presents her with a pet bushbaby that she names 'Komba', which she will have to return to its natural habitat prior to leaving. The film was the first adaptation of the book The Bushbabies by William Stevenson. Decades later, in 1992, the story was adapted for television as an anime series belonging to the World Masterpiece Theater from Nippon Animation. The series received the international English title of The Bush Baby (大草原の小さな天使 ブッシュベイビー, Sougen no chiisana tenshi busshu beibii). (en)
