Abstract
The constant increase in computer power has led to the demand to incorporate color images into more and more every day applications, from text documents to identification cards. Even more important than the increased use of color images is that his increase is predominantly in situations where the user either is no expert in color imaging, or where a single expert has to handle extremely large numbers of images. In both these situations, it is important that the majority of image processing tasks, like adjusting, exposure, contrast, color and sharpness are done in an automatic fashion.
