I believe what you're talking about is probably this ScreenRant article right here (link:https://screenrant.com/sonic-the-hedgehog-3-new-cast-character-predictions/), but the thing is that this article doesn't confirm any new voice roles for the characters, it's merely a fan-speculation about which characters the actors who were confirmed, but haven't revealed which role they're in, would or should be playing. Concerning Keanu Reeves

from what i’ve been hearing, keanu reeves as shadow the hedgehog is still simply rumored, as neither paramount or any of the other cast members have been able to verify the decision, and given how secretive this film has been, it’s entirely possible the rumors could be false. idris elba was reportedly confused when the casting was brought up. please, converse. So Paramount and Sega Sammy like to decline to comment on these sorts of castings, right? I recall hearing that Colleen O'Shaughnessy was even directed by Paramount to not speak on it. I have no source for this though.

What is going on here? They're being game-y. They would have outright denied them and Reeves's agency would have commented had this been verifiably false. Hell, MCU actors have long-standing histories of playing dumb when character castings are reported. source

Marketing

@BarntToust Let's deal with this dilemma in a civil manner. You want to add a marketing tidbit about a TIkTok teasing Keanu's casting, and I think that's unnecessary. I explained my reasoning as follows:

A tiktok teasing a casting that had been reported months prior by a reliable hollywood trade isn't significant. A trailer, viral marketing campaign (like the building projections), or promotion shown at a big event are. We don't have to cover every bit of marketing or the section will become cluttered.

Let me just add that there has already been a similar discussion regarding a matter like this on The Super Mario Bros. Movie talk page. Please read it.

Look, I wholeheartedly disagree with the notion that you want minimalism here. It's an address of a central character being in the film. If it was a guy named "Johnny" I would not support this. But, it's the first address of a central character. I'm not going to advocate for every single solitary TikTok that is posted by the account, but this one is important.

I didn't say trailers are ONLY valid (I literally said viral marketing campaigns or promotions shown at the big events like a sports game are ok). That TikTok, I'll argue isn't significant enough for the lengthy sentence you put in the marketing section.
