Welcome one, welcome all. This is a typical userpage. Yet, it is my userpage, and that home-y feeling is really all that matters. On-wiki, I'm usually called Barnt for shorthand, and my real name is Danielle, styled Danny. I respond to she/her, or he/him, and even they/them. Pronouns aren't a main concern of mine; building an encyclopedia is my priority. Just make sure to keep your choice consistent per situation, for clarity's sake. I try to pare my sick sense of humor and sarcasm down to acceptable levels that are prudent and non-invasively funny to everyone who otherwise helps to build Wikipedia.
Ideals I subscribe to:
edit- Wikipedia:Assume no clue – before you assume that someone is being malicious, assume that their actions are the product of being uninformed or unaware.
- Wikipedia:Imagine others complexly – Wiki editors are human beings, so the complex state that humans are in is going to be inherently present in the uh, humans, who populate Wikipedia. And as such, that complex state is reflected in the business that is conducted on this site. (Unless it's a bot that's downsizing a newly-uploaded album cover or performing some other menial task).
- Wikipedia: No episcopal threats – whatever you do, do not get the bishops involved on Wikipedia when something does one of the following: goes wrong/turns out of your favour/becomes a sensitive situation/etc.
Is this important?
editBefore you read on, I'd like you to look at this, which tells a lot about why I edit Wikipedia.
"[Wikipedia] is not only subject to influence from the outside world, but can also affect the world it documents."[1]
Joseph Michael Reagle and Lawrence Lessig had much to say. It seems so simple, but the things I write appear in front of millions and millions of people. The things you write, too, may be anywhere from less to remarkably more seen by just about anyone. I want people to know about the things I write, to be informed about things I feel they should know. That's an awesome power, and it is lunacy that they give it to everyone. Literally anyone. I'm biased in subject, I admit. But in subject matter, I try to stay as true and convincingly judicious as possible.

I love the idea of citing filmography/performances/screen and stage pages for actors. It's such an easy claim-to-fame for getting lists to featured list status. Therein, one can display about their doing of lots of tedious work.

editThe driving work I did first coming on here was splitting off Pedro Pascal to Pedro Pascal on screen and stage.
I reviewed the season 1 article of The Last of Us for GA status. This led to consideration for the entire season and its episodes for good topic status. I only reviewed that article, so props to all others who baked the cake so I could put the cherry on top, so to speak. It did eventually pass on 16 June, and thus became Christened a good topic. Then, I tackled the good article review for "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart", and after a short period of letting the partially-active nominator address a few of my concerns, I passed it. Why, might you ask I decided to jump from premium cable HBO series to Taylor Swift? It's an exercise in ensuring boredom stays away. Also, the work doing GA reviews for Swift song articles is awesome. I did another one, the goood article review for "The Tortured Poets Department", just because the Swift project is the best to marvel at. I may not be interested in her music (my heart remains with Johnny Cash forever) but the prose is very interesting, as I enjoy seeing which songs are allegories to her dating history, which songs are media criticism, and which songs are anything but.
Currently dedicating work to Piece by Piece (2024). Created Wanderstop, along with Double Life (Pharrell Williams song). Pedro Pascal is still a priority.

I just wanted to express my appreciation for all the work you have done to contribute to and build this encyclopedia, especially the recent Draft:Superman (DC Universe)! Keep up the great work. Your dedication has not gone unnoticed! Have fun editing. Cheers! (and keep telling off those pesky vandals! lol) Trailblazer101 (talk) 06:38, 26 October 2024 (UTC) |
To do list
edit- Cillian Murphy on stage and screen – cites
- Josh Brolin filmography – cites
- List of Elle Fanning performances – cites
Oh my, it's getting rather drafty in here, isn't it?
edit- Draft:Superman (DC Universe) – have to keep up with this puppy up until the release of Superman (2025), after which point it may be published for fulfilling the first criteria of WP:NFILMCHAR for being so extensively covered. But I'll make sure the article includes that coverage before any such publication happens. It's Superman, after all, he's a pop culture titan, there's going to be extensive coverage of this adaptation.
- Draft:Rick Flag Sr. (DC Universe) – later in 2025, a guess when this one will be published. He'll've starred in Creature Commandos (2024–2025), appeared in Superman (2025), and had a major role in Peacemaker season 2 (2025), fulfilling the second criteria of WP:NFILMCHAR.
