Sony Music Group (SMG) is the American holding company that controls Sony's recording and music publishing business of Japan-based Sony Group Corporation and managed by Sony Entertainment. Sony Music Group is one of the “Big Three” major music companies. It was established on August 1, 2019, with headquarters in New York and an office in Culver City.[1]
