Map

edit

I wonder if it's really necessary to have a separate map for Greater London on this page. There might be four London teams in the division (QPR, Fulham, Brentford and Milwall), but then there might be four West Midlands Teams in a much smaller area (Birmingham, Villa, Wolves and Walsall). I'd prefer to see all the teams on one map if possible. What do others think? --Wavehunter (talk) 20:19, 20 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Given that it is only 3 teams in london (even though they are close) I've removed the GL map. It was originally introduced into the PL season articles because there were 6 teams and it became impossible to show all the teams on the map at the same time. => Spudgfsh (Text Me!) 09:17, 30 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Table footnote error

edit

Footnote says the play-offs are for promotion to the Championship. Should read Premier League, can't seem to edit the section though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bithuen (talkcontribs) 14:45, 28 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for noticing this error, which I have fixed. You can edit these tables by click the small "e" on the top row. GarethTJennings (talk) 02:44, 29 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Reliable Source for Attendances

edit

I've removed the highest attendances would anyone classify [1] or [2] reliable sources to use? => Spudgfsh (Text Me!) 19:36, 7 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

I can't speak to the reliability of Worldfootball, but Transfermarkt is definitely not a reliable source. Sir Sputnik (talk) 23:33, 8 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
That's as much as I thought. but with a bit more time I've found this [3] which should suffice => Spudgfsh (Text Me!) 16:22, 9 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Move discussion in progress

edit

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Football League Championship which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 14:15, 28 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Assists?

edit

I recently added assists to the Top Scorers page, but they were then removed. So, i feel there should be some discussion on this! Should they, or shouldn't they be included? Thanks, Tube Geek 77 (talk) 19:57, 31 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

I removed the assists because there has been a number of discussions before (in previous seasons and especially on the premier league season articles) whereby there was a consensus that there is no reliable definition of what consists an assist so they shouldn't be included. I personally also think that they come under the WP:NOTSTATS. just because we can include lots of stats about football it doesn't mean that we should. Adding more prose to the article is always beneficial (eg describing the major talking points from the season like who was where in the table, major sackings etc). => Spudgfsh (Text Me!) 20:31, 31 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Unable to Edit Template

edit

I usually edit the league table but there doesn't appear to be an edit template option on the league table. Whether this is just for me or if someone has made a mistake I'm not sure but it means that it's not possible to edit the table.
