Fair use rationale for Image:Gokujou Parodius!.png

edit

Image:Gokujou Parodius!.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 17:00, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Title format

edit

What are the strange characters in the title? They don't display properly under Opera. 2fort5r (talk) 13:33, 10 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Title Translation

edit

I don't think Gokujō translates as 'Fantastic'. There wouldn't be a word for 'Fantastic' in Japanese and it would be written in katakana, even if that was the intention. As far as I can work out, it translates more accurately as 'Finest', 'Best', or 'First-rate'. It seems the use of Fantastic has come about purely due to the Western title - Fantastic Journey, which of course doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the original naming. 81.157.163.252 (talk) 15:14, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Gokujo ParodiusGokujō Parodius – Proper romanization used throughout the article. -- Beqwk (talk) 08:51, 26 June 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Favonian (talk) 09:58, 3 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose. Since English language does not contain accents or diacritics, transliterations into English from languages that do not use the Latin alphabet likewise should not contain any marks that are not part of English. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 01:55, 4 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • Support - This matches the guidance at MOS:ROMAJI, general guideline 1. Also support Gokujou because it seems most common in RS, but I suspect this was just for ease of typing. ~Adam (talk · contribs) 11:28, 4 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
