Can someone add the movie Citizen X to the 1995 filmography? This was a pivotal role for him. How can anyone forget that film? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.151.66.97 (talk) 17:58, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
He is in the wrong religious section.
editRea, is currently in the category of Northern Irish Presbyterians. however according to a book dicussing the film the Crying game (which also gives details of the actors who starred in the film), Rea converted to Roman Catholisism before he married Delours Price. - The first source mentions nothing of the sort – the only mention of his "Irish identity" is by the article itself with no input from Rea – and the second reveals that he supported a united Ireland in 1993 and that he feels comfortable with the Irish "tribe". Can you please tell me how either support that he is a resident of Northern Ireland whose allegiance lies with the Republic, not the North or the UK? You'll have to do better than that. — Jon C.ॐ 17:06, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
- I've tweaked the wording to resolve this issue. He has repeatedly refused to be drawn on his political views, as extant sources already indicate, and I am not convinced that we can place too much weight on one instance where he says otherwise. He would need to self-identify which type of "Irishness" he considers himself to be and rather than get into some Unionist/Repblican etc tut-for-tat here, it is easier just to avoid the issue. In fact, I think that the Unionist/Republican tit-for-tat might well be subject to ArbCom sanctions. I am sure that Rea has people who keep an eye on this article: if he has a burning desire to identify then he has the means to do so.--2.219.218.79 (talk) 18:51, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
- Sensible edit, Mr IP. — Jon C.ॐ 19:55, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
- Just to clarify something, one recent edit summary included as justification for "Irish" that "... he was also married to Dolours Price, I presume you didn't know that". That is classic original research. Without wanting to trivialise the issue, John Bercow (true-blue Conservative, now officially neutral due to his office as Speaker of the House of Commons) has been for many years married to Sally Bercow (not shy of expressing her socialist leanings). Plenty of Protestants marry Catholics also, as indeed may well be the case with the Rea-Price marriage. People marry across all sorts of perceived boundaries and we cannot make assumptions.---2.219.218.79 (talk) 22:03, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

Add Black 47 to 2018 in film Wikipedia Article
editI would be grateful if someone can add Black 47 which stars Stephen Rea to the 2018 in Film Wikipedia article. I had made a semi edit request on the talk page but there still has been no response to it. You can find the request and the details here — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.0.113.197 (talk) 16:01, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
Film I, Dolours
edit..clearly states she was married to Rea in 1983. It is very unlikely this source is incorrect given the production behind it. Mramoeba (talk) 20:36, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
