I completely rewrote the introduction, removed the old diagram, added a new picture, and a crystal structure. The new picture is a crop of a picture that was in the additional pictures section. I moved that picture to the muscle contraction page where I think it will do more good. The body of the article needs a lot of work, which hopefully I will be able to do later. Smooth muscle?

edit

There's no discussion of tropomyosin in smooth muscle here. I'll try to get around to adding something if I have time. Currently the article is so biased towards cardiac and skeletal muscles that it neglects to even mention that the model described is not the case in smooth muscle. 24.64.252.19 (talk) 02:57, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why does the picture at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Tropomyosin_unbound_to_actin.png have "Mg2+" if Ca2+ is used in the page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Decklanx (talkcontribs) 04:26, 15 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

==Major Changes== I made a lot of changes to this article, including complete restructuring of the sections. I rewrote the introduction as well as it was very poorly worded before. I believe my changes will now provide an adequet base for future changes. TTile 00:14, 21 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
