Fawcett5 is a Wikipedian with a particular interest in the history of Canada and transportation (particularly trains and aeroplanes). Since 6 June, 2005 I have been a wikipedia administrator. I'm a bit burned out on wikipedia, and my current level of involvement is much less than at times in the past.
Please help support the Canadian Biography Initiative, an effort to create a wikipedia article for every individual listed in the Dictionary of Canadian Biography.

editNote that in addition to these, I have stubbed out many hundreds of articles on Canadian Electoral districts.
Articles I helped with that have subsequently become Featured Articles
edit- I rewrote the Louis Riel article — appeared on the main page May 13, 2005.
- Canadian Pacific Railway JYolkowski did the heavy lifting here — featured on the main page April 23, 2005.
- Lord Dufferin – Worldtraveller did most of the writing.
- Someday soon, I hope that Red River Rebellion will be featured — I've been working hard on this, although much remains to be done.
Not by me, but dying for improvement
editHere are some articles in my area of interest that I think are particularly worthy of expansion and/or improvement:
- Crowfoot
- John Palliser
- James Hector
- North-West Rebellion
- Pitikwahanapiwiyin (Chief Poundmaker)
- Big Bear
- Gabriel Dumont
