"The empires of the future are the empires of the mind." Sir Winston Churchill
I was born, and still live in Île-de-France (the greater Paris area); I am an engineer from the Paris School of Mines (Mines ParisTech) by training, yet I worked most in the car industry before branching off towards consultancy on industrial, ethical and CSR questions. Like so many other Parisians, my family roots are complex; having discovered genealogy at an early age, I am now passionately interested in the dialects and traditions of several of our beautiful French and European regions.
The reference to Pensées de Pascal, the famous book by 17th century philosopher and mathematician Pascal, describes me rather well. Just read the excellent page called Pensées (which I have had no part in writing). I therefore took up the study of a few so-called theological academic disciplines: Greek, Hebrew, historical-critical study the Old and of the New Testaments, ethics, history of the ancient Church, etc…
I contribute to pages related to Protestantism, humanitarian action, art history and history in general. I also look at the pages dealing with technical or economic issues connected with the car industry, or to places where I have stayed - and I sometimes add precisions there as well.
