The Rattanakosin Bicentennial (Thai: พระราชพิธีสมโภชกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ ๒๐๐ ปี, RTGSPhrarachaphithi somphot krungrattanakosin songroipi, lit.'Royal ceremonies of the Rattanakosin bicentennial') was a series of ceremonies, festivals, and observances that were celebrated on 6 April 1982, which commemorated the 200th anniversary of the foundation of, in 1782, the new Siamese capital of Rattanakosin, i.e. Bangkok, in Rama I.[1]

The king endorsed the royal programmes during the period of April 1982 as follows:[1]

Sunday, 4 April 16:30 The merit-making royal ceremony in dedication to the royal ancestors: twenty-four monks, led by the Supreme Patriarch (Sangharaja), chanted the benediction, with Somdet Brañāṇasaṃvara (สมเด็จพระญาณสังวร) from Wat Bowonniwet Vihara preaching the Buddhist sermon, and the Supreme Patriarch along with twenty-five high ecclesiastic monks (พระราชาคณะ) performed such rituals of royal bones of the royal ancestors. Monday, 5 April 08:30 The homage-paying royal ceremony in dedication to the royal ancestors: King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit proceeded to the ceremony by the Royal Barge Procession from Wasukri to Rachaworadit Port, by arranging Royal Barge Anantanakkharat presenting the Busabok Throne as the lead boat, inviting the Rama I's Phra Chai (Lang Chang) Chao Phraya River
