I was initially a supporter of Fred Thompson in the primaries for the 2008 presidential election, but I think it was Bill Maher who said that Republicans got Ronald Reagan in a box and found a corpse inside. Sorry Fred, you just didn't do it for me.
Wikipedia is a great source of information as long as it's taken with a grain of salt. My favorite analogy is probably the comparison to a public restroom, because you use it to meet a need and it's quite convenient, but you never know who's been using it before you. And while it's convenient, you'd always rather use your own (i.e. "traditional" sources) when it really counts.
