Draft title
editThere was no need to move Draft:Karikku to Draft:Karikku (Web Series) ; there is no article called "Karikku" so a disambiguation of the title is unnecessary. In addition, what the draft is called is not that important since it is not part of the encyclopedia – but since the draft and the article Karikku have a history with multiple deletions it is preferrable to stick to that title, to avoid misunderstandings. I have moved it back for you. Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 17:34, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

editWork is important, but it can be important for various reasons
editIn Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Articles for creation#My article was declined (permalink), you wrote This
[that is, asking for an explaintion of why Draft:Karikku was declined] is really important for me
.
I am curious, why is it important to you?
Actually, don't answer that. It's a rhetorical question. However, YOU need to know why it is important to you. YOU need to know if you are "too closely connected" to the subject to write about it objectively, with a neutral point of view. It is best to avoid writing on topics that you feel strongly about or which you cannot be objective about for whatever reason.
Please also read WP:Conflict of interest and WP:Paid editing disclosure. If you have a conflict of interest with respect to this or any other topic you write about, it is highly recommended that you follow that guideline. It is also highly recommended that you disclose any conflicts of interest you have. Failure to follow these rules is very likely to make editing Wikipedia a very frustrating experience for you.
If the paid editing disclosure applies to you, you must follow the rules outlined on that page. It is not optional. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:33, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
Conflict of Interest
editYou have already been asked about conflict of interest. I will point out that when an editor is as disruptively persistent in asking to have a draft approved, many editors assume that they probably are being paid, and that they are in a hurry to have the article approved so that they can be paid. That is exactly how some of us are viewing your questions. What is especially annoying and suspicious is asking other editors to edit your draft for you so that it will be accepted (and then you will perhaps be paid for the unpaid work of volunteers). You are being disruptive and are likely to be topic-banned or blocked. Robert McClenon (talk) 06:51, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
I apologize if I have committed a mistake (talk). It was just personal interest that drove me to this topic and nothing else, and it was just the passion to get it published, for many others, who support Karikku like me that drove me to try to know more
please stop
editIf a reviewer considers the subject likely to be notable they will approve it. Please do not post about it on my tallk p. again. DGG ( talk ) 15:44, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

Arthur H. Warner moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Arthur H. Warner, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

edit@Jstalins: Jstalins talk I am a new editor and I created a new article on the malayalam youtube channel- Karikku. An AFC editor who was impressed by my article, but did not know about the relevant sources used in it, asked it as a question in Wikiproject India. Reliable sources
editIt's great fun trying to edit the Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources list isn't it? I had a good few goes myself recently. From the commentary and the discussion, I reckon that 'generally unreliable' is a more appropriate classification than 'no consensus'. I have amended the entry appropriately, but should you disagree, feel free to undo my change. 86.140.67.152 (talk) 13:59, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- Atlantis, can you explain why you restored your addition on Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources in Special:Diff/988488109? Please note that one discussion posted doesn't merit an addition on the perennial list, let alone within 48 hours of the one discussion being started. Yoel Romero
editHi Atlantis77177. Wanted to let you know that I've reverted most of your contributions to Yoel Romero, as they contain excessive bias and personal opinions, such as "one of the greatest 3-round fights in the history of the UFC" and "the fight was expected to be explosive and eventful". The sources you're citing aren't really optimal either, live stats of the bouts aren't an excuse to back up personal opinions. If you want to contribute that's fine, but I'd suggest to stop editing the article bc you aren't really being of much help to be honest, the article is already pretty complete and doesn't contain a lot of flaws that can be fixed in major changes to the page. Your recent GA nominations
editHi. Listen, I don't know how to explain this to you if it's not already obvious, but nominating Joe Biden and Donald Trump for GA at this moment, of all moments, is an extremely bad idea. Among other things, there's no way the can meet the stability criterion. I urge you to withdraw the nominations immediately. EEng 07:55, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
Your recent GAN review
editHi. Listen. (per EEng) - something is plainly very wrong with your review of my GA nomination of Virabhadrasana. I assume this must be a fit of pique for some action I took on an edit of yours, but that can't explain your erratic nominations at GA as documented in EEng's thread above. That kind of behaviour is uncollegiate and unacceptable here on Wikipedia, and of course it can get you blocked. If you think I made a mistake, tell me and we can discuss it; I'm more than happy to explain. Chiswick Chap (talk) 09:51, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
@Chiswick Chap:, if I have made an error, I apologize and give you permissions to revert my errored edits.--Atlantis77177 (talk) 09:55, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- Well, thank you, but we now need to remove the page altogether and put the article back where it was in the GAN queue, since you have actually not addressed the state of the article AT ALL - for instance, it is fully cited. Please do not undertake GA reviews (or any other task) without taking the time first to understand what that task entails. I've asked a member of the GA team to sort the matter out. Chiswick Chap (talk) 10:05, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- Chiswick Chap, since you're already enmeshed in this, can you (while you're at it) do whatever needs to be done to un-nominate Joe Biden and Donald Trump -- see top of this (merged) thread. EEng 19:13, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- Well, I agree with you, EEng, that the nominations are inappropriate at this time. Atlantis77177, would you mind removing your nominations from Talk:Joe Biden and Talk:Donald Trump as soon as possible please, to save a lot of needless work and complication - that would be much appreciated. Chiswick Chap (talk) 19:35, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- Actually, I think he did that once already, when I first posted here; someone put it back. And now someone's removed them again -- and here I'm talking only about the notice on the article talk pages. I think the deeper problem is to untangle the noms from the GA review apparatus, and I was hoping you knew which levers to pull to do that. EEng 21:55, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

- (edit conflict) It seems pretty clear that Atlantis77177 doesn't know enough about the GA process or how to apply its criteria to either review or nominate: while the review said it was failed, it wasn't actually failed at the article's talk page, so the nomination was still open when I found it. While we figure out how to proceed, I've upped the template's page number so the nomination retains its seniority and a new review can be opened at any time. If you prefer, Chiswick Chap, we could instead put out a call for a new reviewer to take over the review from Atlantis77177. (Note that the Biden and Trump nominations should never have been made: people who have not made significant contributions to an article should not nominate them unless they have previously consulted with the significant editors on the article's talk page—had this been done, the answer would certainly have been "not at this time" due to the inherent instability, even beyond whether it met the other criteria.)
- (Added after edit conflict): Atlantis77177, the Trump nomination was properly deleted, but when you attempted to remove the Biden nomination, more than the nomination itself was deleted in this edit], so it was reverted, but another editor later deleted just the GA nominee template. That's what EEng was referring to. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:16, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
More nominations
editAbout a quarter of an hour after BlueMoonset's post above, you nominated President of India for GA. Three minutes later, you nominated Prime Minister of India, followed by Indo-European languages, BTS, and Rafael Nadal – five GA nominations within 25 minutes! The last three nominations were quickly reverted by an editor who observed that you had no contributions to those articles. You haven't edited the articles President of India and Prime Minister of India either, nor had you made any edits to those article talk pages to discuss the nomination with other editors, and I have removed the nominations. Why did you nominate these articles for GA? Or, for that matter, Sachin Tendulkar, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Conor McGregor (which you nominated yesterday, all three of which were quickly removed for the same reason)? Evaluating whether an article is a good candidate for a GA nomination requires experience, and it takes much more than a couple of minutes to make that kind of judgment, even for a very experienced editor. It also looks like you hadn't consulted the instructions which explain what the requirements are.
Please get a lot more editing experience before you start participating in this kind of behind-the-scenes work. A few days ago you also made a couple of not very constructive edits to project space pages – [1] and [2] – inserting an article you created yourself in the assessment table, which in itself is a questionable choice, and not doing it correctly. And a final thing: it looks like you have recently edited your signature so it displays your previous user name. Why? --bonadea contributions talk 11:56, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Talk:Hinduism, you may be blocked from editing.
You nominated Hinduism for GA despite the fact that you have not been involved in editing it. You apparently did not take the time to investigate why it was de-listed, you did not start a discussion at Talk:Hinduism to make the case for the nomination as I advised you to do here, and the nomination was against the advice of one editor who is has a lot of experience with GAs as well as another very experienced editor who has done a lot of work on that article. Please take some time to get familiar with what a Good Article actually is and what the requirements are, and please get more editing experience before you get involved in that process. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 09:56, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

Jumanji character articles
editAll of these need work. Most of the references are brief mentions of the characters. Refs about the actors who play the avatar roles do not contribute to the avatars' notability. Lengthy plot summaries do not belong in articles about the characters, only in articles about the movies. Alternatively, these should be deleted, and content about the fictional characters exist as content in the articles about the movies. David notMD (talk) 11:51, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Star Gold; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. signed, Rosguill talk 20:34, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
Cross-Project Assistance Requested
editHello, I'm an user from English Wikisource currently dealing with s:Index:Kerala Police Act, 2011.pdf. I found that normal OCR cannot correctly identify some Malayalam characters on s:Page:Kerala Police Act, 2011.pdf/1 and s:Page:Kerala Police Act, 2011.pdf/2.
As an active user on WikiProject Kerala, I hope that you can help with the transcription of these two pages by inserting the missing characters. They have been marked properly by "language characters" templates, and can be done by replacing them with the corresponding Malayalam characters.
I'll appreciate your useful assistance, thanks!廣九直通車 (talk) 07:36, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
@廣九直通車: I am so sorry, but even though I am fluent with the language, I am a novice, here in Wikipedia, as well as with the digital and literary field.
