File source problem with File:Tropical Storm Ernesto late on August 17.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Tropical Storm Ernesto late on August 17.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Oh, I left it out, okay I thought I put the author as NASA, which means I'm not violating any copyright issues. Thanks! Cyclone of Foxes (talk) 20:51, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
Hi!
editHi! I deleted the comment you leave on the talk of the 2018 Pacific Hurricane Season because it is not appropriate to talk about storms. If you want to say something, you’re welcome to leave a message on my talk page. (Acyclonxe) Acyclonxe (talk) 08:29, 18 October 2018 (UTC)

editHello, I'm B dash. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, 2018 North Indian Ocean cyclone season, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. B dash (talk) 13:35, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
So, B dash let me explain the situation. Basically, the JTWC claimed that that TD Toraji had crossed 100 E (99.4 E at final warning when it dropped to depression status). However, the IMD never recognized it when it was there (impossible to tell reliably, but probably dissipated over Indonesia). So, I have no data for 3- minute winds and any pressure reading (I searched for hours just for that, a pressure reading from the JTWC). Anyways, I didn't put text in those because of insufficient data. I left the text section blank because literally every single system below Cyclonic storm strength has an empty section bar a few; so I figured that I'd do just fine just like how BOB 04, BOB 05, and BOB 06 are Depression strength while the others are Deep Depression strength. So, I figured I'd do fine with a blank segment and here we are now. It has since been moved to "Other Systems" where I could put a reliable source of its final warning, but that's it. Thanks, and have a good day/night! Cyclone of Foxes (talk) 14:06, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
2019 TCs
editHey, just so you know... Wutip is still active per http://www.jma.go.jp/en/g3/ JMA has it marked as a TD with a 1012 mbar pressure. Until it is removed from the map, it will be active. NoahTalk 21:49, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

editYour recent editing history at 2020 Atlantic hurricane season shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Active PTC's always get put there; if they don't form then only then do they get relegated to other systems. Jasper Deng (talk) 17:17, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
PTCs
editWe do include PTCs in season articles. Hurricanehink mobile (talk) 17:17, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- Adding on to that.... PTCs have their own section while active. They are NOT added to the season statistics, season summary, or season effects. If they become TDs or TSs, they keep their section and are added to the three other areas. If they fail to intensify, they move to the other storms section and get a brief mention. NoahTalk 18:07, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
- FYI... you CANT REVERT or REMOVE ANY content from other users unless is blatant vandalism per the rules on edit warring. Removing any text either in part or whole counts as a revert. You need to let others handle it for the time being or an admin will just look at the warning above and block you without hesitation. I would avoid reverting anything related to PTC Nine for at least a couple of days if I were you. NoahTalk 21:41, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
