Anarchism

edit

Hi MakhnosShotgun,

I saw your work on articles related to anarchism and wanted to say hello, as I work in the topic area too. If you haven't already, you might want to watch our noticeboard for Wikipedia's coverage of anarchism, which is a great place to ask questions, collaborate, discuss style/structure precedent, and stay informed about content related to anarchism. Take a look for yourself!

And if you're looking for other juicy places to edit, consider expanding a stub, adopting a cleanup category, or participating in one of our current formal discussions.

Feel free to say hi on my talk page and let me know if these links were helpful (or at least interesting). Hope to see you around. czar 23:04, 19 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Timelines

edit

Hey there MakhnosShotgun! Thank you for the edits you have been making, I hope you have enjoyed the process and plan to keep at it. I wanted to enquire about the timelines that I've noticed you've been adding recently to the regional anarchist movement articles. At the moment, I'm confused about the utility of them, as timelines aren't common on these kinds of historical articles and the ones you have added seem to largely be repeating information already included in the articles' prose. Would you be willing to explain your motivation behind adding the timelines and why you think their inclusion represents an improvement to the article? Hope all is well on your end and thanks again for helping contribute to the encyclopedia. :) --Grnrchst (talk) 10:00, 1 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Grnrchst, I suppose I just thought it would work well as an easy summary around a lot of these issues. I also wanted to integrate certain things that aren't discussed in the article without veering off into original research.
Do you have a discord or email I could contact you on? I really admire your work and would love to collaborate. I understand if you wish to keep it private, however.
Kind regards,

Ok, that makes sense, thanks. I'd recommend giving the list dos and don'ts and the manual of style on lists a read, if you haven't already. As for my contact details, I don't have a discord and don't like using email to privately correspond about my work on Wikipedia. Feel free to drop me a message on my talk page, if you want to ask me about my on-wiki work or if you want to collaborate on some articles. You can also get involved in the Anarchism WikiProject, as there's quite a few experienced editors (other than myself) that would be more than happy to help out with whatever it is you want to collaborate on. --Grnrchst (talk) 16:08, 1 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
