I removed this addition as you didn’t provide a source. I have a feeling you might have forgotten to add a reference seeing as all your other edits are accompanied by one. Feel free to copy and paste the content from the diff and re-add it with a source. – 2.O.Boxing 11:40, 25 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have no idea why, but I’ve noticed when using BoxingScene for references myself, when copying and pasting the link and adding it as a reference using the visual editor, it adds '%20' into the link, causing an error. For instance, your latest use of it at Jesús Rojas (Puerto Rican boxer) produced https://www.boxingscene.com/%20/joseph-diaz-wins-tough-decision-over-jesus-rojas-results--130810 after you clicked 'insert'. If you try and click that link you’ll see it sends you to an error page. Simply remove the '%20' from the link and it’ll work. https://www.boxingscene.com/joseph-diaz-wins-tough-decision-over-jesus-rojas-results--130810. If another editor tries to click the reference when it doesn’t work, it’ll be marked as a dead link and eventually removed along with the content it’s referencing. I’ve sorted the one on Rojas' article but be weary in the future. – 2.O.Boxing 14:00, 25 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Greetings. Please stop adding this link to boxing articles. It is completely unnecessary per MOS:ELNO, and bordering on spam because you've plastered it across so many hundreds of articles. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 20:49, 12 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

So, I add it as an external link as part of helping update profiles for several reasons. It's a unique source on the web that displays a fighter's current and also past rankings within all 4 major bodies and The Ring. It’s the only source, to my knowledge, that displays full title runs and current mandatory obligations for champions. I find the news archive unique and valuable since it's the only one I know that contains articles from all the big boxing websites, all in one place, and is valuable as a research starting point for updating pages of lesser fighters and understanding their current career status. I believe the archive to also be helpful for wiki users who land on profiles of boxers we’re currently unable to maintain with any regularity. Do you have any objections beyond that?
