I honestly have no idea what you mean by that. Do you mean that there needs to be a non-figure skating site that covers this skater? The sources that I used are the same sources I see used on every skaters' wikipedia pages. Rainbowed-Sunned-Spirit (talk) 20:45, 9 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

What I mean by that is that I used the International Figure Skating Union's websites which profile all of the World's figure skaters and some news article. I really don't know what else you want. Rainbowed-Sunned-Spirit (talk) 20:49, 9 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Lucas Broussard

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lucas Broussard requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Lucas_Broussard. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. I asked the admin to restore your draft and it's now at Draft:Lucas Broussard, feel free to continue to work on it. I added in his recent Nebelhorn results but may have mucked up the references. Another good placement or some news coverage and he should meet the notability guidelines and be eligible to be moved to mainspace. Kmusser (talk) 02:21, 3 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Rainbowed-Sunned-Spirit,

I have said this twice now: Do not move an article to a different page title while it is being discussed at an Article for Deletion discussion. It complicates the closure of the discussion when the article title is different than the page title on the AFD. If the decision is to Keep this article, you can move it to whatever page title you want but please hold off during the AFD discussion. I'd rather not enforce this with page protection but I will if you continue to move-war. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 08:42, 31 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Molly Lanaghan

edit

The article Molly Lanaghan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NSKATE; no international medal and no national championship win.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Anastasiia Gubanova - new programs

edit

Hi @Rainbowed-Sunned-Spirit

I saw you had edited the following page: Anastasiia Gubanova (singles skater). Particularly, you wrote that Olga Glinka and Valentin Molotov choreographed the new free program for Anastasiia.

But you can read that it was Adam Solya who made both of the new programs for Anastasiia. See, for example, her new interview for Goldenskate "Georgia's Anastasiia Gubanova Embraces Fresh Vibe" (reference number 35).

You probably read the names of Olga Glinka and Valentin Molotov in the ISU profile, but it contains information about her teachers of choreography: Glinka is her long-time teacher of choreography in the dance class, while Valentin teaches her on the ice. They also made several programs for her in the near past, but this year Anastasiia has made her new programs with Adam Solya.

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Although the ISU fully capitalizes skaters' last names on their documents (ie. Olivia FLORES & Luke WANG), Wikipedia's MOS requires that we do not duplicate that excessive capitalization when citing sources (ie. it is more appropriate to type it as Olivia Flores & Luke Wang) for stylistic purposes.

As always, thank you for all of your efforts to ensure that figure skating articles remain up-to-date; your work is definitely appreciated! Bgsu98 (Talk) 15:40, 10 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
