editHello, I'm Meters. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Baruch College, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please don't make unsourced, promotional claims. editPlease do not use misleading edit summaries when making changes to Wikipedia pages, as you did to 2022 Winter Olympics. This behavior is viewed as disruptive, and continuation may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 17:07, 22 December 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Zicklin Graduate Accounting Society
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Zicklin Graduate Accounting Society requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.zgas.org/our-mission.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Hi Stonksboi - I note that you wrote on the (now deleted) Talk:Zicklin Graduate Accounting Society "I wrote the original mission statement for the club's official website, this is all my own work". I see no reason to doubt that assertion. Unfortunately, in the Wikipedia context, it does not assist retention of the text: it remains your intellctual property for a long time. Even if you should re-class the text with a licence compatible for inclusion in Wikipedia, I doubt the subject of the article would pass "notability", in this case the guidelines for "organizations". Please let me know if I can assist you with this, or anything else to do with the English language Wikipedia. Pete AU aka --Shirt58 (talk) 10:46, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
Copyright & conflict of interest
editHi Stonksboi, I saw your objection to the page deletion before the reviewing editor took it down. So you're aware in the future, Wikpedia cannot accept copyrighted material, even from the creator, unless certain conditions are met. Please see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Granting_work_into_the_public_domain for details. Also, generally speaking you're not supposed to create or edit pages about groups/companies/organizations/etc. which you are part of or connected to, and if you do so you must declare it. Please see WP:COI for details. JamesG5 (talk) 09:55, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
Re personal attacks
editThis is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, as you did at User talk:Sarrotrkux, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 16:40, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- Just saw the attack and came here to see if you've been warned and found the above. You may not care what he said, but I have blocked people for personal attacks like that before, so I hope you are taking the warning seriously. Doug Weller talk 20:25, 18 March 2021 (UTC)

editYour edit to Jared Porter has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Sockpuppet investigation
editAn editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/stonksboiii, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

In this edit, you attempted to list Tariq Nasheed for deletion, but what you posted was the 2009 nomination of the article. If you believe the article should be re-nominated for deletion, you will need to go to WP:AFDHOWTO and follow the steps there, particularly following the instructions regarding "If this article has been nominated before ...." This would actually be the third nomination for this article, so you would need to indicate it as being the 3rd. When you tried to list the article before, you only did step III at WP:AFDHOWTO; the process only works if you do steps I and II as well. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 20:16, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

editHello, I'm CommanderWaterford. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Tariq Nasheed, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! CommanderWaterford (talk) 19:20, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
Discretionary sanctions alert for living persons
editThis is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
