Your Edits
editI've just looked at your contributions. I was amazed at how many edits you've been making lately compared to what you used to. ~ JFBurton 14:29, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks! I've found the power of the Infobox ~ Zanter 16:54, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Whats that? ~ JFBurton 20:09, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Like the park infobox, I've noticed how to use it, so I've been adding it to all the NC State Parks. ~ Zanter 20:21, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

AutoWikiBrowser
editThank you for your recent application to use AutoWikiBrowser. Regrettably, I have declined your request as you do not have 500 mainspace edits. You are welcome to apply again at a later time. Feel free to contact me with any questions, alphachimp 16:45, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
NC Parks
editI agree the map needs to be cleaned up. The area is wrong. I will fix that. I get latitude and longitudes from TopoZone see the link here for Raven Rock [1]. Once you get familiar with Topozone it becomes very easy to use. I have been a "major" contributor to the List of PA state parks which is up for FLC here [2]. Take a look if you are interested. We are seeking input. Dincher 23:14, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Zanter, I made the map shown here and put it on Carolina Beach State Park with a best guess for the dot from the US map. This map is the same color scheme as the US and Pennsylvania locator maps. Enjoy and keep up the good work! Ruhrfisch 01:48, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
I guesstimate the park locations. As you work with the map and locator dot you'll find it easier to use. I also have a AAA road map for North Carolina that shows the parks. I use this [3] too, but it doesn't show county lines. Dincher 19:46, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- You are very welcome. I also just guess on the dot location. There is a (huge) PDF map from NC DoT that shows the parks here here too. Ruhrfisch 03:40, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
I see that you are using the new nav box. It makes things much easier doesn't it? Users Ruhrfisch, VerruckteDan and I have been updating nav boxes for state parks in NC, LA, DE and PA and have started a checklist at User:VerruckteDan/Geobox Protected Area to help us keep track. If you want to join in on the "fun" we'd love to have the company. Dincher 20:48, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Wikimania in Atlanta!
editHi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!
P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 22:50, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

New commons category: American Tobacco Trail
editI'm extensively improving categories on the Wikimedia Commons related to Durham and surrounding areas. I've created a new category: American Tobacco Trail. If you port your photographs of the trail to the commons, it will give them more exposure and a life beyond Wikipedia, so I'd like to encourage you to do that. --Specious (talk) 16:03, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Template:RHI Defunct Team Infobox

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
editHello, Zanter. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of St. Louis Vipers
editThe article St. Louis Vipers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Completely unsourced (for over 8 years). Trivial and non-notable. Fails WP:GNG. Also see WP:SPORTCRIT. Created as part of a large swath of pages by a single user promoting the sport or roller hockey.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 07:46, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
Nomination of St. Louis Vipers for deletion
editA discussion is taking place as to whether the article St. Louis Vipers is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/St. Louis Vipers until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 17:18, 23 January 2017 (UTC)

2019 US Banknote Contest
editUS Banknote Contest | ||
---|---|---|
November-December 2019 | ||
There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate. If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here |
