The result was keep. We're going to keep this for now – there are probably Arabic sources. If someone can try to improve the article using those sources, that would be great. Keep as notable author. Zainuddin is transliterated variously. See Zayn ad-Din for variants. Worldcat lists him as Zain al-Dīn, al-Maʻbarī and Malībārī, Zayn al-Dīn ibn ʻAbd al-ʻAzīz,. Tuhfat Ul Mujahideen is cited widely as an important Indian account of the Portuguese invasion of Kerala. The genealogy chart I linked above in Monsoon Islam page 112 (showing his grandfather as Makhdum) and the quote from page 113 n. 48, "He is often referred to locally as 'Makhdum II'." removes all doubt for me. 24.151.50.175 (talk) 22:45, 18 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
