On the 25th of this month (the date this issue of the Bugle has been published!), Wikipedia's first-ever triple Today's Featured Article is running -- three linked pieces that Prioryman wrote on German V-weapons sites in north-east France. This is a quite an achievement for the Military History project, and to mark the occasion we invited Prioryman to contribute an op-ed which describes how he went about producing the articles, and some of the challenges he faced.
In our interview section, we continue our series of article writers' guides, this month speaking to some of the editors who have contributed quality articles on the Former Yugoslavia. As usual, we ask about how they started in the field, their best practices, and their advice on article preparation, particularly in relation to sources. We hope that these will be helpful for those looking to start writing or those looking to switch topics. Remember that if you have an interview topic you'd like to see, please leave a message on our talk page and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
On a final note, the backlog of MilHist article reviews remains as big as ever, so we encourage you to visit the MILHIST Announcements page and help out with some of the many requests listed there.
The contest department completed its 69th round of competition last month. A total of 28 articles were submitted by 8 editors. Zawed came first with 32 points from 4 entries to receive the Chevrons, followed by Peacemaker67 who earned the Writer's Barnstar with 28 points from 4 articles. Honourable mentions go to Cdtew (20 points), Djmaschek (18), The Bushranger (18) and, making his debut in the contest, Tomobe03 (17). Inkbug and RoslynSKP and also fielded entries.
