editSynonyms
edit- isolating language
Hypernyms

edit- analytic language [⇒ thesaurus] (near hypernym)
Notes
edit- Wikidata ranks isolating language as a subclass of analytic language, unsourced. By contrast, Britannica says an isolating language tends to be analytic, not a strict hyponymy. The hyponymy hypothesis seems plausible given the definitions, and English would be analytic but not isolating language, upon narrow reading of the terms.
