Most of what I have done, am doing, is in the discussion under the module. Look there.

Bookshelf

[edit source]

I've made a link to your book on the Wikibooks:How-tos bookshelf. You can list a page on a bookshelf at any time. If you need any other help, please let me know. --Whiteknight (talk) (projects) 22:28, 5 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello and welcome to Wikibooks!

Here are some tips to help you get started:

You will find more resources in Community Portal. If you want to ask a question, visit the Study help desk, the Staff lounge, IRC channel or ask me personally on my talk page.

Good luck!

Excellent work on Telescope Making. It looks like the start of a very nice book. --DavidCary 21:13, 7 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

fixing images

[edit source]

It would have made sense to for me to respond here. Instead I responded to your question on my talk page. I don't know which style is more confusing :-). --DavidCary 17:23, 17 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Replacing images with text

[edit source]

I replaced some of your images you created for Telescope Making. I am tagging to be deleted. Then can, however, be restored. If you would rather them be restored, you may certainly ask at WB:VFU. If you have any questions, please ask me at my talk page. --Iamunknown 06:45, 30 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I saw that. I put the images in there to make the overall text a smoother read, at least for me.

Images with missing license information

[edit source]

Thanks for uploading images on Wikibooks. However, the images may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikibooks because of copyright law (see Wikibooks' Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikibooks are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikibooks:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on all images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information or giving false information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, ask them in the Reading room. Thank you.

I'd Like To Help

[edit source]

Hi, I'd like to contribute to your telescope WikiBook. I'm very curious about your pie pan mirror idea and I'm thinking about trying it for myself. Maybe this would be a good opportunity to create some high quality images for the book. I'm a photographer and I've had my photographs in a number of magazines usually how-to or illustrative so I think I could do a good job of generating this content. I can also create vector graphics and illustrations where drawings are better than photographs. I have built both refractors and reflectors so I could help with the writing too. Feel free to contacting me at my full name at gmail or through my talk page here.
