I am based in Canberra, Australia. I have masters and PhD degrees in 20th century military history. On the English wikipedia I have written over 23 Featured Articles, 54 A Class Articles, 65 Good Articles and 74 Did You Know? Articles. I am a coordinator of the Military History Project, and have received a number of accolades, including a Golden Wiki for 2012 Military historian of the year, and an Alexander the Great triple crown.

Most of my work on Wikipedia has therefore been on military subjects, but some has been about sports, which is my focus on WikiNews. As a credentialed member of the media, I represented Wikimedia Australia as the default winner of the Wikimedians to the Games project. I attended the 2012 London Paralympics where I assisted in publishing over 70 articles about the Games. I continue to write articles on the Paralympics, and publish interviews with Paralympians. One of my current projects involves trying to encourage greater sport involvement in WMF projects in terms of sharing content for use on WMF projects, and trying to get media accreditation for Wikimedians like myself to attend the Sochi and Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games. As part of this effort, myself and fellow Wikinewsies User:LauraHale and User:Bidgee went to Colorado to cover the IPC Nor-Am Cup in December.
