This page tracks the numbers of edits, within broad bands, of those non-admins who have made 2,500 edits or more. It was compiled initially by Brian0918 from the list of Wikipedians by number of edits, removing those on the list of current admins, and has been subsequently maintained by hand by interested editors.

This may be useful as a guide to users who may have escaped consideration as potential admins, perhaps due to a low profile, or "because I thought s/he already was one". If you recognize someone in this list, and you feel they would make a good admin, you might consider nominating them for adminship. Edit count alone is of course not a qualification per se for being suitable for admin duties: before nominating someone, please be sure you're broadly familiar with the nature of at least a broad sampling of their contributions.

Because of the nature of the compilation and maintenance process, there are likely to be mistakes and omissions.

  • Users in bold have shown an interest in becoming admins.
  • Cross out bots, do not remove them from the list. This is for ease of future list creation
  • Remove users as they become admins.
  • Please do not delete users who decline adminship or are inactive/banned/bots. Simply cross them out.
  • Adjust users' ranks accordingly by checking most recent edit counts
